Hi, Jim -
Please give your mother a big hug from me! Your Mum is a lovely lady, and I so enjoyed meeting her and hearing her wonderful stories. Just remember, she's a very tough lady who's had more than her share of "hiccups" in life, and she'll surely fight whatever may be ailing her now with the same strength she's always shown.
I know you must be incredibly worried, but please try to take things one day at a time. I hope the tests reveal nothing seriously amiss. My thoughts are with you all.
much love,
Cheryl

No it's an ongoing thing to see if her kidney function is declining or just normal reduction for her age. Seems to be a standard thing thats been introduced by the DoH

I think they usually do the tests on a Mon or something at the slow local health clinic. Hmmm

That's right - all UK GPs are supposed to test everybody's kidney function as part of a routine check-up I think, regardless of age. It's become part one of the "QOF" (= "Quality and Outcomes Framework") which helps determine what they get paid under the new contract.JMan wrote:No it's an ongoing thing to see if her kidney function is declining or just normal reduction for her age.
