I haven't. Contacted GSTT a couple of weeks ago and was told it's still in planning!

I'm going to wander into the Vaccine Hub next week with a copy of the JCVI guidance and just ask for one, see what happens....

Thumps, do let us know.
I contacted my practice today and got the reply “your booster is due in the middle of October”. I don’t think they appreciated the difference between a third primary dose and a booster shot. By the time they sort themselves out it will be mid October anyway.

Got a text from Guys inviting me for a third dose on Friday, just been and had it this afternoon.

They'll ask you on arrival at a vaccine centre if it's a third dose or a booster. I gather that It's very important if you're an immunosuppressed transplant patient or someone who has been invited for a third dose that you ensure they catalog your dose as being a third dose, not a booster. I am not sure why, but it was important enough today that they made me wait while they reset the appointment record somehow. I guess it's in case they need invite us back for a fourth dose later as a booster??

I feel a bit woozy now, will see how it goes the next couple of days.

Got to chat to a local GP (not my own). She knew nothing about 3rd primary doses. Said everything was being handled by local commissioning group. I asked if local practices had to supply patient names. She said no as data would be automatically extracted from computer notes (and this depended on things being coded correctly).

Also chatted to practice nurse who also works at vaccination centre. She knew nothing about 3rd doses and has promised to find out. I know she will. She says health care workers are being prioritised.

It’s all a bit of a shambles really.
Head down. Avoid people.
Keep going.

Just back from the vaccination centre. (Sitting with a cup of coffee and feeling relieved it’s done).

I slipped in as my booster dose is almost due. The vaccination centre is struggling with the IT for 3rd primary doses. It doesn’t appear as an option on their computers. They have logged mine in the good old fashioned way with paper and pencil with a view to entering the details correctly once the IT has been updated in the next week or so.

I can just imagine the havoc in 6 months time if it is decided we should have boosters. :? :roll:

Anyone had their booster (4th vaccine dose) yet?
Trying to organise mine as it’s overdue and meeting a wall of silence from my GP.

No. Which is the difficulty.
The government advice is that I am due a booster 12 weeks after my 3rd primary vaccination. However as normal the NHS computer system can’t quite cope with it, hence the need for an old fashioned letter from my GP or unit is required.
I was just wondering if anyone one had succeeded with this yet.

I have had a letter from the local NHS, about treatment for Covid, apparently I am included in the Priority Treatment Group.
But nothing about 4th jab.

This was the latest Govt info but hidden deep in the document:

"If you've had the 3rd dose for people with a severely weakened immune system, you'll be eligible for a booster dose from 3 months (91 days) after your 3rd dose.

You cannot book a booster using this service yet, but your GP or hospital specialist will invite you for a booster when it's due.

You can also find a walk-in coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccination site and attend any walk-in site offering boosters if you have a letter from your GP or hospital specialist inviting you for either a 3rd dose or a booster following your 3rd dose.

You must take your letter with you to the walk-in site."

If that's of any use to anyone. I am hoping to get my text/letter next Mon.
