Grey has good news

Post by Grey »

On Friday I got a call to tell me I had been allocated a living donor kidney from an altruistic donor. Subject to all tests etc they said the op would be end march early April. I have only one problem, late December I had a growth cut out on my shin, left a great big hole that I am told can take up to 4 months to heal. I will find out on 27th if this will stop the op. I will be devastated. Otherwise words cannot explain my joy at the thought of no dialysis restrictions, no pipe out my side and a free spirit. Hole thumbs for me !
After a long time of waiting an anonymous donor has arrived in my life.
Words cannot express my gratitude to this lady and my paired exchange wife donor making it all possible
transplant 19th June 2015...Going very well mind you 2 years later
