Re: newbie :)

With any luck, your daughter may have a slow decline too. If not, this site is full of inspirational...

Re: Living or existing with Kidney Failure
Hi Grey. Sorry to read your post although I can empathise with a of it. We started our journey together - along with the lovely Cathy who I hope is doing well after her transplant. Who knows how long our journey will be - but when I read of all the poor little kids dealing with dialysis, I thank my ...

Keep positive Cathy! You'll get there - it's just a different kind of journey now - but it'll all be fine, I'm sure. My very best wishes and I think of you often.

Re: DONOR UPDATE
Thanks Bigbuzzard. It seems so complicated and such a hoo-ha. I suppose there's part of me that is still unsure - especially as I got the Call in December. I keep hoping it'll happen again soon and then I eon't have to put my cousin through it all. Such complex emotions. Some friends tell me not to ...

I'm sure it all it really stressful Cathy. Another journey, and lots more to learn. But you'll get there. Just remember our first posts with Grey when we all went in to have our catheters fitted in the same week. Seems so long ago. You managed then and you will again.Keep smiling!

Re: Transplant list
I was told be my renal unit (Portsmouth) that I would remain on the TX list even though my cousin has offered her kidney and we've had first set of tests. I even had The Call a couple of weeks after that (though the cadaver kidney proved to be cancerous so it didn't go ahead). they told me that I wo...

Oh Cathy! I'm sooo thrilled to hear of your exciting news! That's amazing! How truly wonderful. Just think that soon you'll feel like a new woman and your little lad will wonder what has given mummy so much energy! It really is incredible to receive that call isn't it? I was amazed at how calm I was...

So all these month later ( precisely four after receiving initial matching results), my Living-Donor Coordinator has replied to my emails stating that loss of earnings CAN be funded for my German cousin if she donates.
