Question for all kidney disease patients

Hi all, I am re-posting my website question, as I didn't make it clear that I am looking for replies: How different is your life now that you have kidney disease/are on dialysis/have had a transplant? Any one of these options makes you eligible...it is not just for dialysis/transplant patients alone...

SO TRUE!!!!! You MUST be your own best advocate! You are the one who lives in your body 24/7 and know it better than anyone else, doctors included. So sorry to hear about the death of a patient--especially so when it could have been prevented if the doctors had done their job. Renal patients know so...

Mine is on my left, about 6 inches even with my navel...I had my transplant there too and was worried about that issue, but they told me it was not a problem because the catheter would be put in the peritoneum. I can only lie on my left side becasue of scoliosis, but I have no problems with the cath...

Alishe, your post made me smile! Yes, children have the most fun with the simplest objects. I especially liked the idea of making a playhouse...your little guy would have hours of fun with that! You could decorate the boxes with paint or stickers and "personalize" his little house. This wo...

Hi, I had this procedure done in the early 1970's. I was not aware that they still did it today. I found a little bit about it about it on the internet. There isn't a lot of information on it, which surprised me. AV grafts are placed when the veins are too small to create a fistula. A graft is a tub...
