We also asked the same question as Angel too about how easy or difficuilt to match individual organs. The transplant co-ordinators have a formulae that look at last approx 10000 transplants and how many of 'those selected transplants ie kidney etc' would have been possibly matching to your requireme...

Awww (((hugz)) Amanda sure must be hard at times when waiting sooo long for transplant etc. Really felt VERY similar when Rach was waiting for a 'call for transplant' etc and waited 2 & 1/2 years for her to be able to be well enough for transplant then got suspended for 14mnths then waited 16mnt...

Congratualtions on your transplant.

In the first even year or so it can be a bit of a rollercoaster with blood results etc and kidney settling down etc.Especially with meds etc too.

Sorry to hear Alex is not well in hospital. Its really difficuilt juggling analgesia whist post transplant etc catch 22.Know Drs do get very concerend about effects analgesia on transplanted kidney etc however also need to try and make him as comfortable as possible. Have they tried heat pads etc to...
