Hi Keith,
I also thought protein was a bad sign for a tx patient - but it doesn't mean your kidney would be affected immediately. I'd personally get it checked out asap by the transplant team.

Hi Jim, I did look into this a few years ago and I was told by my unit that I couldn't go, because dialysis units in the US do not seperate their HIV and Hepatitis patients.
