Hi Scary - good news about the ultrasound. With regard to the 'good kidney' - according to Patientview in the description about eGFR (which is an indication of % of kidney function) anything over 60 is 'normal range', so maybe this is why your doctor has always talked about 'normal function' to you?...

Hi Jimmy - I am the same GFR as you and I recognise the symptoms you are experiencing. I too get breathless now, for instance when I am walking the dogs and there is a slight incline, whereas, up until quite recently, this was never an issue for me. He has cleared the first hurdle threatening to stop him and that is that Guys hospital have given him clearance to do the work up, despite suffering testicular cancer almost 10 years ago.
