Re: Road to transplant......we hope....
Sounds quite reassuring. Someone else I know had a similar chance finding (a scan after an awkward caesarian in her case) and treatment plan. It's too soon to say she's cured but she's had no problems since.

Re: bbc programme
I've seen these. A word of warning that the second programme is more difficult to watch than the first. But it really brought the message home about the shortage of organs. They were given a disappointingly low profile here in England, shown quite late. Perhaps they thought we wouldn't cope with the...

Re: The Team Tibbs Results are in...
I don't know how many times I've done that... I mean I really don't know. Sometimes I forget whether or not I've taken my meds, then spend ages trying to remember, looking for evidence in the bin etc. Then the debate of whether it's better to take them twice or not at all. I use a meds pot th...

Re: Pregnancy with a transplant
A few of us on the website have had successful pregnancies after transplant. I have one son. I also know personally two other ladies who go to my clinic, each of whom has two kids. A search of the site will bring up previous threads. My pregnancy was the least smooth one I know of. My son was born a...

Re: Road to transplant......we hope....
It's difficult waiting for these kinds of test results. A few days seems like forever. Thinking of you.

Re: Road to transplant......we hope....
I think it's quite common for the pre-transplant tests to uncover anomalies. Being thoroughly checked out uncovers all our little abnormalities, most of which would never cause any issues. Looking at it a different way, even if the growth is sinister they've probably caught it very early and you've ...

Epo prefilled syringes
Can people on epo tell me what I'm supposed to do with my used syringes? No one ever mentioned it and ive just been chucking them into a box, but I've now accumulated quite a few!
My council requires a GP referral to provide a sharps bin, which seems a faff.

Re: question @ DIET
I've been vegan for short periods of time. I don't see why it would cause a problem, if you make sure you get all the nutrients. Generally people are tolerant of vegetarianism and intensely hostile to veganism. I don't understand it really as I consider my vegetarianism hypocritical - ie production ...
