They say hiccups is part of kidney failure. My husband was always getting them. Dont know what the link is though!!!! Hope he soon gets better. ps we spent that much time in to a & e regarding high potassium the nurse knew how we liked our tea, we would walk in and she would say 2 teas no sugar ...

Thank you all for your replies. Just a quick update, my husband had his bloods taken at 6 am this morning for a biopsy on his new kidney at 9 am. Just been told kidney could be rejecting, my husband as to have a biopsy in morning, the docs have to make a decision, drugs can be given to try and save it but they want to know if he still as the shingles virus one drug could fight the other. If it does reject, are you back to square one on dialys...

Yes it is, We were told when you get to between 8 - 10% GFR will be put on dialysis. My husband got to 8% but still felt very well,

Thank you Amanda, My husband says he had chicken pox as a child, he thinks!!!! long time ago, but if he had a mild dose can you get it again? His consultant has confirmed it is shingles, but the spots on his body are the same as chicken pox. But on his back it is the Shingle rash,a mystery. Not sure...
