My husband when on dialysis was always dry through out the day, he was a fast transporter he just absorbs the fluid.

Thank you for your reply, Jessica. We are at clinic tomorrow so will ask then. You just worry when he holds his sides and says he get a stabbing pain, but then is goes as quick as it comes.

Kidney Pain
My husband has started to get a pain in his 'new' kidney, he said it is only twinges, but he is getting it quite regular over the last week. We are due at clinic this week so will ask them, but Iam just a little concerned.

When my husband was given co codomol by a local hospital for a back injury, BEFORE he was on dialysis he couldnt urinate!! The renal Doc. said he must not take them.

My husband would be very good during the day before we went out for a meal,he would try to choose off the menu meals that were not to high in potassium. The following day he would be back on his diet. Every now and then it doesnt do much harm. just dont be going off your 'diet' all the time. Enjoy y...

Hi Andy121 Even on the DLA forms as an example it says dialysis = middle rate. When my husband had his transplant which did not go according to plan, he became very very poorly, he was in and out of hospital for 4 months, and we are still not out of the woods yet. He is only having his stent removed...
