Husband does - his own

I am not on dialysis - my husband is and has been on for 3 years. He just recently started to do his own needles about 6 months ago as he was tired of being hurt... As you know everyone is different and because you don't get the same nurse... He sort of took the bull by the horn.

Additional information

They are doing the IGI to help lower his anitbodies. His Antibodies as of April 2004 were 96% and 100% therefore not unable to get a kidney transplant unless it was a prefect match. They will help lower it to at least 50%. I don't how is how this works but we are going to cross our fingers. :) Has a...

Mandy - My husband has no kidneys and is on dialysis. His orginial kidney died or shrived up to raisins and just had his transplanted kidney removed in November 2003 - He is doing great.

You said it. I don't know the cost of having someone on dialysis vs having a transplant but you would think the government would want to go the path of less expensive? I also think that more much much more information has to get out in the world about signing the donor cards... Thanks for the replie...
