BKV After Transplant. My own experience 1 1/2 years ago. So there you are, so excited about your new kidney, (in my case 5 months after transplant) the thought of no dialysis and hoping to get a semblance of normal life back when BANG, your bloods start going haywire. Creatine starts rising, white b...

Hi Having had a transplant 2 years ago I am embarking on a new venture of caravanning. Having bought a newish caravan and seen close up how many spiders have been living in/on the van I wonder just how seriously I should take spider bites and ticks. Saw recently the story of Matt Dawson http://www.b...

Re: Neckline again just for 4 weeks
Daisy, have been away from the site for a long time, say 2 years. Been through EVERYTHING you are experiencing. My only message to you is, hang in there, don't get frustrated, take it all in your stride, makes it all so much easier and in fact better, eventually you will get a transplant like I did ...

18 Months and Counting!
Hi, 18 Months since my transplant and counting. Because I lived most of my life in sunny Africa, I was already a high risk of skin cancer, so toddle off every 6 months for a full body check and apart from numerous BCC and the odd SCC surgical removals things are going well. Actually due to have anot...

Many of us have had it done, it is a biggish op but we have all survived. Cheer up it is always for the better. They removed one of mine so could have room for a transplant that followed. Let me tell you, would do it ALL AGAIN to reach where am now.

When this chap can post "reputable peer reviewed papers by WESTERN researchers, someone may pay some attention. Until then it is plain waffle ! Best ignored in the interests of your own safety and well being.

Re: Stent Removal: different experiences
Go on it is not painful at all. Not only did I have my stent removed but at the same time they removed my PD catheter that was so deep I had a 40mm deep (note EEP not long, it was longer) hold under my belly button, all without general, only local. I will admit the PD catheter was very painful while...
