Dear Steve,

I've never met either of you... but used to chat to you a little a few years ago.

Was very sad to hear your news today and wish yourself and your families my deepest sympathy.

Best Wishes,

Hal

Thanks for the replies guys. Keith - thats all very helpful thanks. To be honest, I'm quite happy to go on the basis if its not protein, then I'm definitely not worrying! I am under increased stress at the moment, with the demands of work and studying for exams... so that may account for some of it....

Frothy Urine, but no protein

Hi all, Hope you are all well. Does anyone else get frothy urine, but there is no protein in it? I've had my transplant for over 18 months now and everything is going well. I've always worried that my urine is a bit frothy, but when it gets tested at clinic there is no protein - obviously great :) A...

After a kidney transplant biopsy?

Hi everyone, I had a biopsy on my transplant yesterday - everything is fine, but my hospital likes to do them as routine on people to get a baseline (yes I know nowhere else seems to!) Anyway, I am meant to be flying on Sunday. I called up in advance to check this was fine and was told it was. Then ...

Hey Kim,

Long time no see - sorry that you have to start, but I think you will feel better when you get going - even if you don't think you feel ill now.

Good luck with the transplant, hope that comes soon.

Gillymac, I think Johnsor is talking about the same thing you are looking for. The drug I had was called Simulet I think and I had a drip the day of and the day after the transplant (I think, but memory of that time is messed up). As far as I understood it was a basically a big dose of immuno suppre...

Living Donation Article

Hi All, Don't post here much these days... but my cousin in NYC sent me a link to an article she read in the New York Times about the dilemnas of organ donation - for recipients and donors. I thought I would post it as I think it's very well written and looks at thing from an intellectual point of v...

Hi, Sounds good... when I was on PD and at uni, I did quite a bit of Tai Chi. Used to go to the council centres in Liverpool - I was the youngest there by 30 years at the least! It used to be very convenient to go during the day and cost about £1.50 a session. Now I'm in London and working its very...

Hi, Sorry to hear about your news. I've had this drug myself as a bid to start my disease. However, I had it in low doses and by IV. It did make me feel "not right" for quite a while, I was always hot and cold at the same time, but never lost my hair luckily. What disease is causing your n...

Hi James, Sorry to hear you've had some issues. However, as Helen and others have said, it is very good that these things have been picked up early. Its also a good sign that there's no blood and protein in your urine. Your doing the right thing taking this further, personally I think your GP should...
