Thanks for clearing that up Mandy :) I have to say I agree with bigbuzzards advice above most of the others and I have found that different units give different advice anyway. I specifically asked whether I would be allowed shellfish and was told basically yes and what you really have to look for is...

You sure about cranberries as it was never mentioned to me post transplant, in fact it was recommended as helps prevent UTI's? Looking up on the royal free website only mentions avoiding cranberry with warfarin and nothing about avoiding it with tacrolimus? http://www.royalfree.org.uk/pip_admin/docs...

Hi Scott,

I went straight home (3 hour drive away) on discharge from hospital and was lucky as only had to visit the tx clinic twice before being transferred back to my home unit. I could have had to keep going down there for up to 6 months however and as i said it is a 3 hour drive each way

It's great to be in full possession of the facts but there is a fine line between being informed and being scaremongered. Thats what I thought UNTIL the middle of last night and my arm was hurting quite a bit. Never had so much pain from any injection but the needle was big so probably much deeper than normal.

we've not heard anything yet but neither of us probably could have the shot at the moment as laura has a chest infection and I've had a cold and think i'm coming down with something else now as well.

I guess they will only give you the shot if you are well don't they?
