Hi... I haven't had a tx biopsy done for many years now.. current kidney is nearly 2 yrs old and hasn't needed it.. haptoglobin & blood smear
I'm nearly 12 months post tx, had a yucky uti which threw my kidney off course a bit 2/52 ago and creatinine has jumped from 131-198 but is falling again. For some reason I have become very anaemic with an Hb of 6.1 although I am unsymptomatic of this and have no bleed anywhere that I am aware of, m...

Hi,
Did anyone else notice a dramatice change in their relationship/marriage once they were transplanted? ie: do things now that you never dreamt of doing before....

Hi, I had one of these @ about day 8 after my transplant, my wound drain was still leaking a lot and they thought it may be urine from a bladder leak. I was fortunate that I still had a catheter in place so didn't have to under go that part. From what I remember the Dr drained my bladder then filled...

I had this problem occasionally on HD but with hourly saline flushes instead of regular heparin over the machine it could be controlled, part of me wonders if my body is getting revenge for all the years when I had no bleeding at all :!: I've asked for the depo injection alongside my pill but was in...

Heavy periods post transplant (sorry Guys!)
I'm 6 months post tx tomorrow and have had at least 5 months of non stop heavy bleeding since then :( . I have tried two mini pills which have done bugger all and finally been referred to a gynae with a view to microwave ablation of the endometrium, which apparently is the new idea to solve this pro...

I have not discussed this with any members of hubby's family and told hubby to let them know that I don't want to talk about it but just to destroy this file, never mention it and I will forget it was ever mentioned. However inside I am still steaming. I had a clinic appt today and it was on tip of ...

Hi, I can remember having this with my daughter... I explained pretty much the same way as you but described the machine as a special blood washing machine. I also worked in school with 5-7 yr olds who would ask what my fistula is, I thought I'd explained it well until a friend said her son thought ...

Thanks for the replies. I am in clinic on Thurs and may talk to my co-ordinator about this without mentioning names. I am wondering if the person involved thinks she is doing the right thing. I know as much as possible about my renal failure etc but this is the one area I'd rather be ignorant of. Ph...
