Re: Restrictions after open pyeloplasty
Hi I had the same problem as you but my surgery was laparscopic pyeloplasty, not open 5 months ago. Unfortunately my pain is worse and more constant now, but this is like an exception as most people pain will decrease or go away after the surgery. I was told not to drive, avoid lifting things for 4 ...

Re: hydration effect on gfr
Hi, this constant pain is happening since surgery 4 months ago, and no improvment. Whatever I mention as possible cause like surgery inflammation, injured or trapped nerves, scar tissue, adhesions, they just say no way to test it or fix it. Worst is pain is non stop so I constantly have to take opia...

Re: hydration effect on gfr
Ok thanks for replies. I know my gfr is in normal levels, but I need to consider it because my kidney is giving me chronic pain and I believe my only option other than pain killers for rest of my life is kidney removal even though its function is normal.

hydration effect on gfr
Hello, I would like to know what gives like the correct gfr from blood test, is it when you are dehydrated or hydrated or in between. Reason I ask is because 4 months ago my kidney was blocked and I was waiting for surgery and drinking very little because if I drank my kidney hurt. I had two blood t...

Re: getting sick of this surgery pain
Well my pain is more of constant dull aching/discomfort sometimes feeling slight burning with occaisional twinge in the kidney area, I dont know if it resembles nerve pain. Was your pain similar? I will be happy as long as it fades away with time, its just that I read so much about undiagnosed chron...

Re: constant kidney/flank discomfort
I will ask my doctor when I see him. My frustration is because aching is constant, it has been same in intensity throughout and doesn't seem to be subsiding. Everywhere I read says after two to four weeks you should feel your normal self after this surgery, and I am 9 weeks post op now. Also I'm wor...

How long to feel normal after stent removal
I've read it usually takes a day or two but that's mostly for people who had stone removal treatments who don't have stent for too long. But I had it for month and half and removed a week ago. I still continue to feel dull ache and fullness in the flank, abdomen, and back area 24/7. This is exactly ...
