Re: Was My Post Deleted - Documentary Screening
Oh my goodness this post is getting absolutely ridiculous! Someone can't just be taken off dialysis and follow a strict protocol and be fine. Dialysis is the strict protocol! And diabetes is a much more complicated disease that diet and stress?! Sure, diabetes type 2 can be linked to diet, but diabe...

Re: Stent Removal: different experiences
My husband was terrified to have his removed, but he was in and out in seconds and said he wished he hadn't built himself up with all the worry. Not sure your post is necessary or helpful to anyone....

Re: Trolley needs a home
Hi Mary, Yes I'm afraid it has gone now, what a shame. The one we got was http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/60116998/. It's called Udden Kitchen trolley and is £50. We got a couple of S hooks from B&Q which we used to hang the bags on. The machine went on the second shelf and Dean used ...

Re: Prograf Tacrolimus
I don't think anyone is telling anyone off? Surely this is just a public forum for people to share experiences, views and opinions. No one has to listen to anything I may type and i certainly don't mind if someone thinks what i've said is wrong or a complete load of tosh! I just enjoy hearing about ...

Re: Prograf Tacrolimus
I'm sure people just react differently to different things. I dont think there is a right or wrong way to be taking the medication and presumably the doctors and nurses would more than step in if they were concerned about ones blood results or reactions.

Re: New to CAPD
My husband was on APD for a year and had fresenius supplies. We went to Norfolk for a week and they were wonderful. They delivered the machine and all the fluid bags, we only had to take the drainage bags and cassettes with us. They were there when they said they would be and collected the machine a...

Hi Yaniv, Sounds like an awful situation and a hugely difficult decision. Whilst i can't comment on the long term effects of your girlfriends health if she chooses she wants to donate a kidney, i can only say that my husband has type 1 diabetes from the age of 8 and this caused his renal failure at ...

Re: Going to the dentist
I just remember the surgeons told my husband he must have regular check ups with the dentist to make sure his mouth was healthy whenever he got the call.
