Okay, for those that know, Rachel came home from the hospital on Sunday. Well, last night she went back, due to extreme stomach pain. She wasn't admitted, & we thought she'll be home before. She has just been admitted as they want to observe her a little more. One good thing - she was freezing t...

It was a nurses 'form' to fill out when a patient has dialysis. Has fill in questions like how many hours of treatment the person had...

Well isn't it enough to wear something that YOU believe in? If I believe purple dotted red striped socks will bring me luck, I may get an awful lot of stares.. but hey I'm allowed to wear that. Ribbons, in general, signify that you are wearing it for pride or to raise awareness, about a cause. That'...

Jman, they may be more popular in the US then in the UK. THere are many differnet kinds of 'awareness ribbons'. Enviromental, etc. In terms of 'diseases' though, green is kidney disease, kidney cancer, and organ donor. The disease/cancer ribbons are way more common then the ribbons for 10001 differe...

HI Pam, Green is actually a cool one. The ribbon for "Organ Donor Awareness" is green, the ribbon for "Kidney Cancer Awareness " is green, and the ribbon for "Kidney Disease Awareness" is green. Rachel wears a green ribbon on her italian charm bracelet. For those not fa...

Both me and Rachel are heavily addicted to Diet Pepsi. We don't experience that aftertaste at all, as a matter of fact, we prefer the taste of diet pepsi over the regular version sweetened with sugar. Have you tried Pepsi One or Pepsi Edge? These are second generation Pepsi's, that are sweetened wit...

HI Gil,

Its a long-standing joke in the chatroom... which is better, Pepsi or Coke. Rachel screams Pepsi (And I agree), some others whom we shall not mention say Coke.

Anyway.. she drinks diet bc she's a type 1 diabetic and cannot handle the sugars in it. Not safetly anyway.

Update on Rachel

Hi Everyone! GREAT NEWS!!! Rachel has been weaned off the respirator. She now has a "CPAP Mask" (which makes breathing 'optional' rather then mandatory) as well as oxygen, but CAN breathe without all that should she decide to remove everything. She's real hoarse, and her throat is sore, et...

Hi Natalie, I'm not that familier with it.. but here's something that I know Rachel was told at one point. Some dr.'s say you should take it with food, some say without, some say 'it doesn't make a difference'. What DOES make a difference is that whatever way you choose, you're consistent about it. ...

An Update on Rachel...

Hi All, Thanks for your steady good wishes and positive thoughts. Rachel's condition is still serious, but has improved. She had been running a very high fever for quite a while, which has gone down, only to come back yesterday, and drop a bit today. She had a very aggressive form of pnemonia, which...

Yanni, Yanni, & Yanni - of course

I am absolutely addicted to everything by Yanni. When I listen to it (and LOUD) after a few minutes my heart beats along with the beats of the music. Its a strange feeling, but somehow everything 'synch's' - and the world stops. Its just the music and my heart pounding in tune. There's no words on i...

drippings...drippings.. jelly...

hmmmm.. .that reminds me of this. I always used to love when my mom made baked apples.. and in the process they'd sometimes leak juice.. well after taking the pan out of the oven.. and letting it cool.. the juice would dry to this tart sour, but tasty, jelly. I'd scrape it out of the pan with a fork...
