Hi
I sympathise. I had bad side effects. As they reduce this will help but the body will al so adapt but it can take a long while.
As for the hair there are products out there that can help. Also a topical steroid on prescription is very good.

Re: Hair loss after transplant
Hi ChrisB
I had major hair loss. It will improve as they taper down the Cellcept and Prograf. However to try and help the situation here in the USA I use Rogaine and I was also given a topical steroid. Really helped.

Hi
I would advise Mount Sinai in NYC. That where I go. They were wonderful and so helpful. You can look up my old posts I think.

Re: Post-transplant lymphoma (PTLD) / chemotherapy
Hi Jen I remember you! You may want to read my thread which I started in 2015. To cut a long story short I was diagnosed with kidney disease in my teens. They finally were on their last legs in 2015 at the age of 62. Not bad going. I was put ontransplant list but was taken off (bastards) when I was ...

Hi
I just got word that my kidney donor's remaining kidney's function is now exactly the same as when he had two! It was never that far off but now it's exactly the same. Amazing

Re: Advograf and Mushroom Extract
Hi The way I see it there is so little information out there about whether this could be dangerous to your kidney that I just wouldn't do it. Mushrooms are heavy on the potassium and whilst after transplant we can basically eat what we like I still am very careful with potassium. Can I ask did your ...

I went to hospital Wagolynn. My kidney results are very good and Uric acid is normal. They don't know why have it except they're wondering whether it's anything to with chiropractor treatment I'm having which releases toxins.

Transplanted kidney and gout
Hi
Can you believe it on my second anniversary of my transplant (thank you thank you) I get an attack of gout which I still have. Haven't had an attack in ten years. Do I need to report it right now or wait till appointment in June.
Thanks

Re: Diarrhea on Tacrolimus
Hi Trisha Do you know what his Prograf level is? Is he on Cellcept as well? The runs can make his Prograf level too low. He needs checking out and your GP saying nothing can be done is rubbish. I would get a full blood panel done. I had the same problem they reduced my Cellcept and it stopped. So go...

Hi Wafolynn
Thanks for info. He's been on low potassium diet for a while now. He was asked to modify his diet when first diagnosed I believe. Thanks
