Water Meter and Fresenius 5008S Water usage?

Post by JMan »

Hi all

Does anyone know how much a Fres 5008s uses in a 4 hour dialysis session, roughly. Techs have said about 300litres.

Also I'd like to hear from anyone on heamo with a water meter, are your bills higher, do you go for a 'capped' deal.

Ta in advance..

I think, the water consumption will depend on the type of dialysis (Ultrafiltration may use a little more), though I suspect the most is used in the self cleaning cycle but 300 l feels about right.

Contact (E-Mail) [email protected] you will find them very helpful.

Speak to your hospital's PALS office, they should be able to advise you about running cost payments (water, electricity), and grants, if you are dialysing at home.

Thanks for that. I might well email Fres.

We do have some knowledge of payments from hospitals (10 years of home heamo will do that).. Avoid water meters seems to be one of the main things:D
