Hi

I just got word that my kidney donor's remaining kidney's function is now exactly the same as when he had two! It was never that far off but now it's exactly the same. Amazing

Wonderful! That must be a big relief. I would be very sad if my brothers kidney function got worse as a result of donating to me.

I'm guessing it's age related, as my eGFR ia about 50 now, vs 80 before. That's fine by me as I know you lose function every year anyway, as you get past 50-ish, but my recipient (a brother 7 years younger) nw has a better eGFR than mine!

Hi Matthew

My donor is over 60. Hes a triathlete. Mine was better but he's overtaken me! I'm 0.85
:D
