Post by Joe »

 Evening All,

Anyone know of the current guide lines on travelling (Cape Verde) or any other hot climate?

Kind Regards

I always use the following site when travelling anywhere post TX for guidance on vaccinations needed.

https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/cape-verde

As for the ZIKA virus...I would double check the internet, but your travel agent/travel company should have warnings/number of who to contact if there is a risk. Enjoy your break
Now 35 with Alports and I had my first kidney-versary 18th feb 2013....I hope to have many more.

My living donor and his family are doing all well.

I spoke to my doctor at clinic this week about Zika since I'm hoping to get to Mexico in the next few months and he said it was only a worry if I were trying to get someone pregnant. I've been told that there's no extra risk as a transplant patient.
26/11/12 - Live donor transplant from my dad
6/1/13 - Discharged - Rejection episode over
7/1/13 - Getting on with life
24/9/13 - Left Radical Nephrectomy of Native Kidney due to cancerous tumour
14/10/13 - Back to work, getting on with life
