2 years ago we went to a wedding. I was 10 weeks post transplant and dancing at midnight. For all of you writing today about how it feels to be on dialysis - you will understand the significance of that.

At the same time I was dancing for the bride's father's cousin whose husband had given her a kidney 2 weeks before my op and who couldnt be there because it was too soon to fly over from Canada.

And even more emotionally I felt I was dancing for the bride's cousin (her mother's niece) who was in hospital having just had an emergency liver transplant following an allergic reaction to an antibiotic.

Tamara had a long and difficult recovery period but just look at her now!
