Was wondering whatever happened to the petition that cymonix started on the No 10 website, and I see it only has 10 days to run. So now's the last chance to spread the word and get people to sign it, if you think that's a good idea: "We the undersigned petition the Prime Minister to change organ donation from opt in to opt out."

Also, I got an email from George Foulkes the other day - he's a member of the Scottish Parliament who's been campaigning for ages on this issue. Seems that over the past year, several other MSPs have changed their views on this, and now support changing the protocol in Scotland from opt in to one of presumed consent. There may well be a vote in the Scottish Parliament about this on 12 December. It seems likely that if this were to approve the change in Scotland, then like the smoking ban, the rest of the UK might follow soon after.[/url]
