The Kidney Patient Guide forum is a valuable source of information and support to a wide range of people, including people who are directly and indirectly affected by kidney disease. It is a welcoming and friendly place, and our moderators - who give up their time voluntarily - work hard to make sure that that it remains this way.

We welcome a range of opinions on the board, and it is the nature of a message board that there will be differences of opinion from time to time. Please ensure that your contributions are constructive and respectful, and that you are familiar with our forum guidelines, which you can find on this page.

This site and forum were initially set up using a grant from the Wellcome Trust. The site is now maintained by Cogapp on a pro bono basis, which involves hosting and updating the site as well as administering the forum from a chiefly technical point of view.

The forums are moderated by a group of volunteers who are also long-term members of the forum. Anyone may nominate themselves or another member to be a moderator, and new moderators will be appointed by agreement between the moderators and an administrator.
