Waking up with stomach ache - is this a renal issue?

For the past few weeks I've been waking up between 3-4am with quite severe stomach ache, it lasts about half an hour and goes away.
It's not every day, about twice a week and always at this time, before I pay £40 to see my GP has anyone else experienced this or heard of it for post transplant patients.
Naturally I'm fearing the worst and thinking I have stomach cancer - cheery soul that I am.
