Wet Wipes..

Post by JMan »

Hi all..

I've been advised to use non scented non alcohol wipes for a 'clean' (not aseptic) med procedure.. I know these are used by PD patients I just wondered what brands types people recommend?

Cheers

I've never used wipes for a medical procedure, but I used to use Boots own make unscented baby wipes when my daughter was little. Johnsons baby wipes are the nicest (in my opinion) but they're perfumed, so obviously of no use to you. Good luck!

In the US, and probably UK as well, there are plenty. Just check out the baby aisle in your nearest supermarket or drugstore. Go for the cheaper ones, as they aren't filled with that much 'gunk' (moisterizing stuffs, fragrance, oils, whatever). MOST of them dont' have alcahol.

GOod luck!

Post by LW Adams »

Hey Jman, Ive been using a an wet wipe named Zephiiran, I was getting them from my local drug store and they cost a little more but they are antiseptic skin cleansing tissues, but this is the one my unit suggested for me to use but Iguess you could use just about anyone you could get. Hope this helps.
Also while I am here I will let everyone here know that I had transplant surgery on the 19 Oct 04, got out of the hospital last wed and my creat . is down to 1.9 as of fri. hope everyone gets this far as soon as they are able because this is the best I've felt in 7 years.
So have fun and live life to the fullest. LW Adams
