I have a new kidney!
Just a quick note to say that one week ago today I received a transplant from my aunt! So far, so good. Creatinine is stable at 1, no sign of rejection (knock on wood) and I feel WONDERFUL! Everything went incredibly smoothly and I can't believe how much better I feel than before.
I had my surgery at MGH in Boston and can't say enough good things about them. Great doctors, nurses etc.
I don't post often but if anyone has questions, feel free to send me a private message.
best.

New kidney
Wow Christine
That's fantastic news. Here's hoping that all continues to go as well for you as in your first week with your new kidney.
Lots of love,
Julie

Dear Christine,
I am so happy to hear about your new kidney!!!! Right now, you are in the "honeymoon" and it is all so new to you....I am so glad you are feeling so much better.
I know you probably don't go a day without thinking of it, but please give your aunt a ((((hug))))!
Best Wishes,
Pam
