Question for any live donors

Post by R30 »

My mum is going to be giving me a kidney in a month's time, and I just wondered if anyone can tell me what a live donor has to put up with, and they feel, post-operatively? I have read a lot of literature regarding transplants but this always seems to be from the point of view of the recipient rather than the donor.
Any help anyone can give would be much appreciated as my mum is, naturally, quite concerned at the moment.

Also check out Livingdonorsonline.com. They have a pretty good message board there too.
