donor list

Hi
I posted another message a long time ago about the donor lists in UK & Spain and whether you can be on both. I have at last received a reply from the department of health (only took 6 months!)
if you are interested this is what they said:-

was on leave and was somehow overlooked.
There is no European wide registration scheme. There is also a rule that a
person can be only on one transplant list. However, if your friend is
resident in Spain for any period, if she is seen by a Spanish unit, she
might be allowed to register on the Spanish transplant list on condition
that she is suspended from the UK list while in Spain and vice versa. She
would need to persuade the Spanish authorities to agree to such an
arrangement as well as notifying her UK unit.
