Urination frequency

Not sure if this is the right place to discuss this but I'm having bouts where I'll need to go pee more often. What's strange though is that this is intermittent. So I'll have three or more days maybe where I'm totally fine, normal urination, no urge etc. then suddenly the next day I'll have this bout where I'll go a few times in succession, like every 2 hours or so. During this time my pee is clear, almost white colour but what's bothering me is why this is happening randomly. I haven't changed my diet or fluid intake. Still no pain or burning or anything severe before or after peeing. Maybe it is what it is but it's really normal for me. Usually I'll only need to pee about 2-3 times for the entire day!

The doctor has no idea about this. It's not high blood sugar as I checked my bs during one of these bouts and it was normal. It could be the mirtazapine / remeron I'm on (15mg) but this is not a known side effect. It's not an infection or uti as 4 urinalysis have come back negative each time. I'm guessing any potential kidney issues would have been detected here too? Doctor not concerned about prostate issues, firstly due to my age and secondly because I'm not having any prostate related symptoms.

So have no idea what to do apart from going back to doctor and requesting an urologist apt. God knows how long that will take. The only thing I could attribute it to is the remeron / mirtazapine but if these are side effects from that then I wasn't getting them when I started it 2 months ago.

I see urine retention is one of the possible side effects, perhaps you are retaining a little for a few days, and then having a clear-out.

It is also worth remembering that the urge to pee has a mental factor that can become quite strong, ie. 'I think I want to pee', also peeing is part of the reaction to stress.
Which suggests you should go with the flow (pardon the pun), and not worry about it.

Yeah why would this happen though? Why can you urinate more than you drink some days? That's why I'm thinking could it be kidney related? Whatever it is, it's not causing me much pain or discomfort, however during these bouts I feel very on edge, like anxious maybe, probably because I'm worried about what this is. However, when the normal urine frequency returns, I'm totally fine again and no issues.

The doctor has no idea about this. I've been to three different doctors. It's not high blood sugar as I checked my bs during one of these bouts and it was normal. It could be the mirtazapine / remeron I'm on (15mg) but this is not a known side effect. It's not an infection or uti as 4 urinalysis have come back negative each time. Doctor not concerned about prostate issues, firstly due to my age and secondly because I'm not having any prostate related symptoms so I'm thinking kidneys?

I've now decided to stop it and it's been about 3 days without it now so will see whether that does cause any changes. Hopefully it shouldn't be too long before it's completely out of my system?

Normally we produce water internally, our foods contain water, we loose water by sweating, breathing, and peeing, so trying to workout from liquid intake only, mean the equation doe's not balance.

We also can, hold water extracellularly (out side cells, this can be the cause of puffy ankles, swollen legs), this takes some time to clear away.

There are heart conditions that cause the retention of water.
