travel sickness medication and renal failure

I am going on my first cruise soon and when I asked my consultant if I could take travel sicknesss medication he said he had no idea then added that although it might spoil my holiday not to t ake anything. I have had both kidneys removed and am on heomodialysis. Does anyone have any exprince of this?
