Kidney Patient Guide

Hello,
I am a dialysis patient on PD.
My cousin is being worked up for transplant.
Might be a few months yet but fingers crossed.
I was thinking my girlfriend and baby could do with a small break.
I fancy somewhere in Europe such as Greece, Crete, Cyprus, Canaries.
I want somewhere which can be described as "dialysis friendly".
Does anyone have any experience of holidays whilst undergoing PD?
Any advice welcome.

Hi Johny.

I went to the Costa Brava recently and Baxters delivered to the hotel. I went through my nurse and you need to give them several weeks notice. The mainland or larger islands would be better. I contacted a few hotels as they need to accept the delivery and it is nice to get one that is responsive to your requests. I'm on APD, but switched to CAPD for the break.
