How do APD patients travel abroad?
You wouldn't put the APD machine in the hold, but can you take it on board? Isn't it larger than the permitted size?
Or do/can you convert to CAPD for a week or two whilst in another country?

Hi Gilders.
Yes, you can usually switch if you speak to your nurse. Baxters can deliver fluids to most popular resorts with some notice.

Hi - if you get the hard case for the machine and it is labelled fragile you can put it in the hold. You will also need the power converter / surge protector and baxters or whoever will deliver fluids abroad. You could choose to go on to CAPD if that suits. Flexibility to travel is one of the (many) benefits of PD - imho. Happy to answer any questions as I travelled abroad a lot (for both work and holidays)
