Dialysis in Devon

Post by JMan »

I might be travelling to Devon as part of a course in July, I just wondered if I might be able to extend my trip and get some dialysis down there. I will be based around near Totness for a couple of nights. If I can arrange dialysis I'd be looking for maybe a week or 10 days at somewhere thats easy to get to by public transport and places to stay that are suitable for reduced mobility and a wheelchair.
Just gathering some ideas at the moment so anything useful will help:)

Hi JMan. Plymouth definitely has a dialysis unit as that is main renal centre for devon and cornwall, i had my tx there. I believe you should be able to bus it to plymouth from Totnes. Contact the units at the hospital, plymouth is derriford hospital. http://units.renal.org/?c=plymouth. Hope that helps!xx
