nephrostomy

hi I have been told by the consultant that I have a low kidney output in my right kidney and they want to do a nephrostomy , putting a catheter in my kidney. I'm terrified of this , has anyone had it done ?

Wow, your post is two months old. Did you get it done? I would have suggested a second opinion. I'm not a doctor, but I do know I have two kidneys, and it confuses me why a doctor would say you have low output in one kidney, but your other kidney would pick up the slack. Hope you're okay.
