Do you do renal puncture after transplantation ?

Hi,
I had a sencond kindey transplantation two years ago.
The creatinine is always on normal level ( about 0.7~0.8 mg/dl) last two years.
My doctor told me I need to do a renal puncture check because I had the surgery for two years.
Of course, I will follow doctor's suggestion, but just curious, all of you had the same checking after the transplantation ?
Thank you.

In my experience, after two transplants in the UK, I've only had a renal biopsy (aka puncture check) when there was something wrong.
From the units you're using to express creatinine level, I assume you not in the UK.
A quick Google shows that in Sacramento, California, for example, it's a normal procedure at three and twelve months after transplant:

So it's obviously one of those things where 'normal practice' varies around the world.

Hi, I came back and share my diagnostic result.
My report for biopsy has came out and I got a c4d positivity >50%.
It could be diagnosed to chronic rejection.
Then , I will do plasmapheresis ( 4 times) + IVIG and the doctor said it should be effective for me.
( I had received the same treatment before transplantation surgery due to I had high PRA and it did work.)
(The time limit for plasmapheresis is about 2 years and I could check C4D again after 2 years later.)
The only fortune is that I could found it in early stage. ( now the Cr is still 0.8 level)
