UPDATE. Guess what everybody I've had my kidney transplant yesterday. My EGFR is 70%!!! It was 9%. So emotional. My donor is doing so well he has left hospital already! I've also started the regime for my immunosuppressants plus two extras for the non Hodgkin's lymphoma. Thank you Mount Sinai Hospital New York. There are no words for my donor or any donor. I can't think of any other ways to say thank you. I bought him a live kidney donor t shirt and mug and I got the recipient t shirt.

Hi just another update. This time about the non Hodgkin's lymphoma that I have which made a kidney transplant impossible anywhere except for Mt Sinai Hospital NY. I've had my transplant many ups and downs but par for the course. Yesterday I went to see the lymphoma oncologist at Sloane Kettering and it seems that I have no trace of NHL in my blood. All white cells and lymphocytes back to normal!!! I cried buckets! And my oncologist said it was the biggest gamble and he said that quite frankly he is amazed. I think I've helped somewhere with their research into this so that feels good!
