hi fredjen I have been on APD for over 12 months now, and although initially I got drainage pain I don't get any at all now. I told my nurse about it and they changed it to tidal and have had no probs since. I find the only drawback of being on APD is having to go to bed at a sensible hour to get up...

Hi Nickj I was diagnosed with ESRF in september 04, I started off on Haemo as an in patient but it was decided that I should start on APD as I am needle phobic. At the time I thought that my life as I knew it was over, but I can honestly say that it really isn't that bad. Doing APD has allowed me to...

Hi Hal Thanks for responding so soon! So does the £150 worldwide annual policy (for the 5 of you) plus the extra costs cover kidney related problems while your away? I imagine that it might be slightly cheaper if its just for the two of us and at that sort of price it wouldn't be a problem...

Hi Hal

I have been advised to stop taking my phosex and alphacalcidol until tomorrow after the procedure.

I am hoping it is down to my medication as I assume this can be changed quite easily.

I am totally confused by everything at the moment!!

Thanks for the support, hope you are well
