I don't have that problem, as I know I will not have a transplant due to major stomach operation last summer. so it's dialysis for ever for me. But if it keeps me alive that's all I want to live.

I am on HD in locla renal unit. I see my neph about every 2 to 3 months, my husband is always with me as he makes sure I hear correctly as I am deaf and he often ask more questions than me! fresh ornage juice, prunes, sweetcorn, nuts, malt bread all make me move rather than taking medication which makes it worse most times

I use Dermol cream on my legs as they itch like made in bed, also take amtimisimine tablets like people take for hay fever to help control itching.

Saw my kidney doctor today I was told kidney function now down to 7 - 8 % had been up to 16% since coming off dialysis Dec 2011 as was then considered stable. I did HD, had failed fistulas now have a leg graft to use. After Hd session 3 hrs for 3 times a week I felt tired and had a nap after.

cholestral, have you tried Actimel yoghurts drinks or similar to help reduce your cholestral.

Ask in some place if they can saute potatoes. As they have been boild 1st then sliced and lightly fried.

Norfolk area is nice ans is flat easy for people with less mobility,
Shropshire where I am but not near the sea (2 hours) from welsh coast.

could be a kidney stone, they are very painful. Go back to doctor if meds not helping but they do take a few days to have any effect.
