Non greasy sunscreen.

I realise that this is perhaps not foremost in peoples minds right now, but thinking ahead to spring/summer what sunscreen do people use? I'm not a great sun lover and tend to avoid exposure where ever possible. The only times I ever get burned are accidentally when gardening etc. I had my 1st trans...

Probably best to avoid the twiglets too they're really high in salt Fabrette ! Depends on your dialysis type, but PD patients can usually get away with eating some high potassium foods in moderation. This is yr will be 1st after swapping to haemo. I'm not too fussed about mince pies but do like Chri...

I get headaches sometimes during dialysis they seem to be behind my eyes I thought it was just eye strain. If I feel one deveoping I take a couple of paracetamol seems to have worked so far. Thanks for for the info about DDS M3R ..I've read about it and that sounds scary!

Yes I really felt the liquid sloshing and moving when doing anything physical... It was something i was not warned about. It was similar feeling to going over a humpback bridge not especially nice..In fact decidedly uncomfortable at times. But everybody is different and it may not bother you as much...

I recently lost my fistula due to clotting and now have the joys of a tunnelled catheter.. I've been told keep it dry but how can you wash shower properly? I have some tegaderm patches they're not big enough and it ends up getting wet just the same. I looked online and you you can get 15cm x 20cm si...

I also got the odd taste of ammonia in my mouth not nice..Glad to say since starting dialysis I no longer seem to get it (just hope I've not gotten u...

Pig lungs could soon be transplanted into humans

Thought this might be of relevance to us. I remember hearing about this kind of thing years ago. Cross speccie transplsntation (xenotransplants). I thought they had rejected due to risks of viruses jumping the species barrier. Its a bit Frankenstein but would you have a pigs kidney? Think I probably...

Have you tried probiotics available from health food stores ? I take capsules (not the drinks) They just seem to normalise things. Also have you thought you might be dairy intolerant ? Try avoiding milk and dairy foods for a few days see if that helps. Hope you find a solution soon.
