Hi jman Totally agree as I said no patient should find themselves out of pocket for doing home therapy but the original post looked like suggesting more payments should be included because of choosing HT. I think that if this happened it could cause more problems. That said we won't improve the use ...

Hi Sorry for this but i seem to have put my reply in the wrong post of your 2 , so sorry. John PS - i don't think payments should be given to patients just for going on home therapy. Part of choosing the 'best' dialysis is choosing the one that works for you when you are in receipt of ALL the facts....

Hi i read about this, this morning and was going to leave a link on here too but jen got there first. I think it is a great idea, i've signed up and would love to get up there with a organ donation card so count me in Jen. I might set up my old dripstand up there as well to show off PD. Hi Andy Thanks for the feedback, i was going to use KPG as an example. The lecture is at Bradford University and is for Renal Technologists. I was at a conference of theirs (http://www.artery.org.uk/site/ART/home) last October with RF and after speaking to them about my experiences with dialysis,ren...

Hi Chris

What is your Hb level like? i found while on CAPD that i felt colder when mine started to drop. this could be a reason, but i would expect your team to flag this up if it had gone too low.

Hi All Well after meeting with the GP all is well again. It turns out the the major problem was my RU not keeping my GP up to date with my meds and blood results therefore he was getting a bit worried about the change from 3x500mg to 2x750mg. It seems that as he prescribes the meds it is he who has ...

Hi All Thanks for the coments, all useful as always. I've got a meeting with the GP today to go through a drug review, really need to find out why he has suddenly got a problem with the 250mg cap. I've been on it and he's been writing the scripts for the past 3 months so don't know why it has sprung...

I first started with a 3x500mg routine but found taking the afternoon 500mg a pain because all my other meds were morning or night and i often ended up taking the afternoon one la...
