When you have a kidney failure, life also changes for those close to you. This section looks at some of the difficulties faced by partners, family and friends and offers some suggestions that may be helpful. (For simplicity's sake we use the word "carer" throughout - but everything here applies equally to family and friends).
Remember that staff at your Renal Unit are very much aware of how difficult it can be, at times, to support someone who has kidney failure and are there to support you as well as the person you are caring for. Don't hesitate to ask them for help, advice and information.
